There are a million reasons for this and it will be different for everyone. However i would hazard a guess at the biggest answer being boredom in the relationship.
I don't mean this to sound rude, but do you seriously think there's going to be a simple answer to this? There is no "usually" to why anyone cheats, man or woman. The closest I can give you is this: psychologically, people often get into relationships for the wrong reasons, and even when they don't consciously realize it, they subconsciously do and will seek what they're looking for outside the relationship they have. For example, have you ever known someone who was so "in love" with the idea of being "in love," that they completely miss how much of an asshole they're with? That doesn't last forever. Eventually, even if they're very invested in the relationship, they're going to need more. Unfortunately, if they didn't know themselves well enough to avoid this in the first place, they're pretty likely to find another person who's equally an asshole...
