ever time we plan to see eachother they ground her but she is 17 about to be 18 and i am wondering if there is anything i can do, or do i just have to live with it tell she is 18?
You basically have to deal with it until she's out of the house actually, not just 18. If she's out on her own, she can do what she wants. Otherwise, she needs to respect their rules, and so do you. I lived in a house where I could only see my boyfriend (now husband) maybe once a week, and that was only for a few hours. We made excuses to stay after school and go to school early to see each other. that was the most I could do. I moved out at 17 to live with my father, and things lightened up a lot after that. If she's in a semi-strict household like I was, all she or you can do is be patient for the freedom.
Please note that she may not be getting grounded by coincidence. There could be very valid reasons behind the punishment. I have realized that now that I've been without my parents for a few years. They usually just try to get you to see reality. Teens in love are often blinded by anything but the other person :)
Just be patient. She'll be out in due time. If you truly care about her and she does too, you can wait 'til the ends of time to be together.
Ah, I realized I gave you like no positive options...haha. Try to make the most of the time you get together at school and on the phone. Also see if her parents may allow you to go over to see her under their supervision. Even if all you do is watch TV, you could spend time together. you could ask if you could study together, do schoolwork, bla bla bla. Join a club together and see if she could go to club events with you. Work with what you have available. :) Good luck
