I have a problem with making prolonged eye contact with my sexual partner during sex, no matter how long I've been with him. About 6 months ago, I started dating a virgin and broke him into the sexual realm. I'm worried about passing on this strange vice to him because he doesn't make eye contact now, either.

Hmm, quite frankly, I don't know anyone who actually looks into their partner's eyes during sex. the occasional glance is fine, but staring at each other for more than a few seconds? Weird. I wouldn't worry too much about that at all. You have orgasms right? Take them for what they're worth. If he starts staring at you without leaving your eyes during sex, then worry that you're dating a psycho :)

1) Thanks for the quick response! and 2) Phew! Also thanks for the reassurance. I thought people were supposed to look into each other's eyes deeply and soulfully during coitus or something, idk!

Lol, I certainly don't...how else are you supposed to fantasize? :-P

Well, that's basically what I do during sex! Close my eyes and fantasize or enjoy the sensations. :)

I think that staring into each other's eyes during sex is not weird at all, to be honest. I enjoy the closeness that it gives my boyfriend and I during sex. I feel like when we stare into each other's eyes, we aren't just experiencing the pleasure that sex gives us, but we're enjoying the closeness as well. My boyfriend and I talked about this and he said he felt the same way. He was the one who actually linked me to this question. Perhaps it's all just a matter of personal opinion though... What one person likes another person might not like.
