How do I go about choosing the right lubricants to use while masturbating? There are so many out there and maybe even ones I have no clue about still. Any ideas for what works best and how to choose the right lubricant to use?
I prefer silicone based lubricants, and if you don't like those or they're not available...water based lubricants such as KY work well.
I'd stay away from anything scented or oil based like lotions, vaseline etc as they can irritate your genetalia and aren't the easiest things to clean up.
Simplest way to find out more would be go into your local pornography shop and take a look at all the lubes they offer. If it has a scent or flavor, a numbing effect or oil based...skip it. :)
Make sure you don't use the following combinations with certain toys or condoms as they will break down and possibly tear (if condoms):
Silicone toy with silicone lube
Rubber toy with oil based lube
Latex condom with oil based lube
Everything else is up to you. follow this one rule, however, if it hurts or is uncomfortable, STOP; it's not worth hurting yourself just to get your rocks off!
