My guy and I have been seeing each other for a while now. We're both pretty conservative so we wanted to wait until we had sex. Now, we're in love and want to start the sexual phase of our relationship. However, we're both really worried about oral sex. With STDs and the easy transfer of bacteria just by touch alone, we didn't want to make any bad moves in the bedroom that can end up being a bad thing for us long-term. We heard about dental dam and wondered if I would still get pleasure from it even though I'm not in direct contact with his tongue. He also wonders the same thing when I suggest he wears a condom while I gave him a blowjob. I've never had used protection before and he hasn't either. But, a while ago one of the girls he was dating did contract an STD (Not from him) and I think it scared him straight. So, we're practicing safety, but we don't want to sacrifice the pleasure either. So, can me and my boyfriend still enjoy oral sex if we use condoms and dental dams?

If you both get tested, then you won't have this problem. Assuming you two are exclusive, how are you two going to contract STD's from each other if neither of you have one?
I think most people would agree when I say that condoms inhibit all sexual experiences. I'm not saying that sex can't be enjoyable with a condom, but not wearing a condom compared to wearing a condom isn't even in the same ballpark in terms of pleasure.
It's good that you are being careful and it seems you two care a lot about each other, but I'm confused as to why you are so worried if the two of you are clean.
The answer to your question is yes: You can still enjoy oral sex with condoms and dental dams, but don't expect it to be as pleasurable.
