Semen contains citric acid, free amino acids, fructose, enzymes, phosphorylcholine, prostaglandin, potassium, and zinc. so this is not harmfull, just go right ahead a swallow unless it has a bitter taste to it.

It does not hurt you to swallow, but you don't *have* to do that. You need to be aware of that. You should never feel pressure to do anything sexually, and the fact that he got mad about that is a bit ridiculous. TONS of women do not swallow, and while I encourage women to do this in committed relationship to swallow as a way to spice up their sex lives, you don't need to worry about that at 16. It needs to be your decision, not the result of pressure from him. Seriously.
