I'm a 24 year old, sexually active young woman. I've been having orgasms since I was 16 and always look forward to it. This past month or so, when I do bring myself to orgasm, I feel a sharp pain in my abdomen. I never had this problem before and the last guy I slept with was over a month ago. I never experienced pain with him, or even after we stopped seeing each other. But I am masturbating more and that's when I started feeling this pain. Now, I don't even want to try and touch myself because I know I'll be humped over clutching my stomach if I do. Why am I getting such bad orgasm pain? What is it?

There can be a lot of reasons why you might be having pain during an orgasm. It could be something as simple as a muscle strain—think of all the muscles you clench and hold during a fantastic sex session? Or, it could be something like a hernia, stomach problem, or other issue. It is hard to speculate without knowing about your medical history, so the best possible thing you could do is consult your personal physician. If you want to continue to have pain-free sex while you wait to see your doctor, I suggest taking Advil or another pain reliever before your next bedroom session. However, do NOT use that as a replacement for getting things checked out by a medical professional.
