Hey everyone, I realize this isnt what this site is used for, but I don't know how to find an admin to email on here. I really need some help finding a publisher. I have found a poetry publisher in my area, but they wont publish my book unless the poems run together like a story, something that they said, " Has to read like a novel." Immediately, I admitted that since that was the case, I was not interested. I have a lot of erotic poems, but my book is so much more than that, life is complicated and you can not put life in a box. So, I try not to limit myself by only commenting on one aspect of life. Am I being too thick headed, I don't know. I realize there has to be some compromise, but completely changing the structure of my work, seems absurd and unfair. I have not found any other poetry publishers, so I have continued writing. I realize this post is off topic for this site, but like I said I do have a lot of erotic / naughty sex poetry, so there is some relevance : ) any advice would be most appreciated.

it sounds like that publisher wants a novel, not a collection. keep looking. =/

For sure man, thats what I thought. Then I asked what she meant, and she said that the book had to read like a linear story, of seperate poems. So, I thought that sounded like a load of crap, so I politely declined.

go on erotic forums and post some to get your name know a little first you would be surprised at what a few forum posts in the right place at the right time can do a lot of people read forums and most publishers keep an eye on specific ones
