We didn't have sex, we just kissing and fooled around a little. I left when the sun was coming up. Before I left, I asked for her number. She said that she wanted mine instead, because it was safer. I said sure, and since then, the never heard from her. What’s the deal with that? Is this a new way girls brush you off? I thought we got along really well, so I think it sucks that she just wasn’t honest if she wasn’t interested.

Welcome to being a man. It happens to all of us bro, don't sweat it. I know it's especially frustrating when the girl is attractive and you think you hit it off, but what can you do? I, like many men, can relate to what happened to you. In fact, it just happened to me last month. That type of shit used to make me crazy, but in reality, there's too many women in this world to dwell on one - especially one you're not dating or didn't even have sex with. I know you saw potential - and that's often rare - but they say "there's plenty of fish in the sea" for a reason.
The bottom line is that most women don't like to be confrontational. Don't think of it as the "new way girls brush you off." There could be tons of reasons: she could have gotten back together with her boyfriend; she could have not wanted to look like a slut; she could not like you anymore, and just consider it a drunken hookup; she could have just wanted some attention for the night, and not want some dude hounding her. Again, tons of reasons. Don't let it drag you down.
My friend gave a girl his number, and she didn't call him for two weeks, and they ended up dating for two years. I'm not just saying that to make you feel better - women are like the lotto: "Hey, you never know."
