Not only will exercise keep you healthy and in shape but it can also improve your sex life. It's important to exercise muscles in your body that are key during sex (i.e. pelvis) so that you can use those muscles when the time comes. If you're interested in learning some quality sexercise to heat up your bedroom experience, take a few tips from below.
Work That Pelvis
For both men and women, thrusting the pelvis is a key part of sex. Exercising your pelvis will help you to have more control over the pelvic area, and will also give you a better range of motion. To practice thrusting your pelvis, lie on your back, bend your knees and keep them slightly apart, and keep your feet on the floor. Lift your butt and pelvic area off the ground until your back is straight, but make sure that your butt is the only body part that you move. Take deep breaths and hold the position for at least 10-seconds, and exhale as you go down.
Kegel Exercises
Kegal exercises were originally used by women but now there are kegel exercises for men too; in both cases, you're looking to exercise the pubococcygeus (PC) muscle. You can locate your PC muscle by stopping your urine flow next time you're going to the bathroom, the muscle used to stop the urine is the PC. For a woman, the PC muscle will keep the vagina more toned after giving birth and it also makes it easier for you to achieve an orgasm. For a man, a toned PC muscle allows you to have more control over your ejaculation and have better orgasms. For both men and women, these exercises can be done at any time, and is very discreet – no one will ever know that you're exercising your PC. All you have to do is tighten your PC muscle as if you're stopping the urine flow and hold it for about 10-seconds, then release it and rest it for about 10-seconds. Do this 10-times and repeat it multiple times per day – take advantage of the subtleness and do it at the office, family dinner, in the car, at the bus stop, etc.
Yoga
Not only do yoga poses look sexual but they loosen your muscles, make you more flexible, and possibly teach you some new sexual positions! Sit on the floor and bring the bottom of your feet together. Start with some poses to work your flexibility and improve your range of motion. Put your hands on your ankles and lean forward with your hips as far as you can. Stay in that position for 10 inhales and exhales. Women, to spice up missionary position during sex, practice the Happy Baby Pose: lie down on your back, bring your knees to your chest, have your legs going up in a 90-degree angle, extend your arms parallel to your legs, and hold onto your feet. When you're having sex in the missionary position, use the Happy Baby Pose to put your legs over his shoulder, resting your calves on his back.
Breathing
Although you might think that breathing during sex is just a basic function, it actually takes some work. Practice breathing evenly – inhale for 2-seconds and then exhale for 2-seconds. Oftentimes, women have a hard time achieving an orgasm because they tense up and their breathing goes haywire. Not only will breathing evenly keep you relaxed but it also helps oxygen flow to the southern parts of your body. Then you can do this same exercise when you start feeling the orgasm coming on.
