There are some great places to pick if you want to make a real impact on someone special for a special date. It just requires a little imagination. Most of the time, to really wow your partner, you have to think of some great places to go for dates--some that are a little more out of the box than what your partner is used to. Water side dates
Take her out on a river trip at night or organize dinner on board a private boat. It can be moored; she won’t mind. Make sure she doesn’t suffer from seasickness first or you might find your gesture backfires. Beaches are so romantic and if you can afford to hire a beach chalet, you can spend a great evening admiring the sunset.
Cheap but romantic dates
Another great idea is to set up dinner outside on the lawn with some nice flame torches and a snowy white tablecloth and polished silverware. Don’t forget to chill the wine and don’t mess up the ambience by placing sauce bottles on the table. Drive somewhere you know the view is incredible but make sure she has never been there before. Bring something nice along for effect, such as bottle of champagne, but make sure she drinks most of it if you are going to drive back!
Nature type dates
Parks and woods are another option for romance but always make sure the environment is not hostile, i.e. prickles and stings and barbed wire can ruin the atmosphere and make everyone grumpy. If you choose to take a stroll through a forest or park, make sure you bring along something for your date to eat. There is nothing worse than starving half to death on what is supposed to be romantic date.
Not so natural dates
Some great evenings have been spent soaking in a hot tub in fitness clubs. If your date is health conscious, there are some great offers around where you can buy an evening of pampering for her and also for you. Share a hot tub and a good bottle of wine after dinner to round off a wonderful evening. Movies are great and the standard entertainment for dating couples but you can make a real impression by choosing a movie she will like, rather than opting for bangs and explosions. The gesture will be appreciated by her and you can always see your choice another time.
Picnic style dates
Find a nice tall building if you live in the city and get permission to have a picnic on the roof. Make sure the weather forecast is fine. Even better if you can get hold of some solar fairy lights and decorate the area with them. Don’t forget to take along some music. The ultimate romantic gesture is one of those wonderful lake rafts that you can hire by the hour for picnics. They sometimes have twinkling lanterns and there is a little boat you can use to get out on the lake. Again, it might be a good idea to make sure the lady is not scared of water.
