So you’ve decided to start dating your favorite muscled hunk. Whether it be the muscles themselves or the thrill of the lifestyle, something has drawn you to date a body builder. Here are a few tips that might make this run a little smoother:
Learn to be flexible
First, you are going to need to be flexible. (No, not literally, although that may help too.) There may be more than one occasion that he is late for a date, because his workout ran late. There is no need to fly off the handle. Just be glad that he is choosing to spend time with you, rather than continuing to work on those delicious abs, even if it is a little later than you had anticipated.
Support the body building
Second, you should try to be as supportive as you can. Try to remember that his aspiration to be the biggest and best is probably more important to him than your relationship right. Before you take too much offense to that, you have to admit that his dreams take a lot of dedication and energy. So just imagine how much of that same energy and dedication, he will be putting towards you once he has completed his goals.
Give his ego a boost
Next, make sure he knows how “big” and attractive you think he is. This is huge ego boost to him and although he may not admit it, he loves to hear you complement him, especially on his muscles. And you don’t have to admit it, but we all know that you like it too.
Get interested in the gym
Also, you may as well try to take an interest in this hobby, as it will most likely be a lot of what you talk about with him. Don’t be afraid to ask him questions about it. Body building is after all more than just weight lifting. Once you include meals, training, supplements and competitions, it can be a complete way of life. Plus taking an interest in his interest will make him feel even more special. Just watch that you don’t boost his ego as big as his beautiful biceps.
The right foods to keep around the house
Remember that his body is his temple. So you may want to keep healthy snacks on hand for him to munch on every 2 to 3 hours. This could include cottage cheese, vegetables, and high protein milk shakes. However, you should probably not try to adapt to his eating schedule unless you are going to workout with him as well. Although those snacks are healthy, they require you have that high metabolism that only your muscle-bound man has.
Be prepared for workout conversations
Lastly, get used to talking about the latest supplement, his workout, the gym, his next competition, or any other related topic. This will probably happen frequently. You may even want to get a gym membership yourself and have him train you. This is a great way to meet the people he talks to you about. This will also give you the chance to work off some of those high protein shakes while spending some quality time with your man. He may even be impressed at your interest and take some special time doing something that you enjoy.
