When dating a millionaire, it is always a good idea to stand in his shoes (we wish...) before making a decision about how to behave in a given situation. Not all millionaires are committed to spending as much money in the shortest possible time without any regard for the free stuff in life. All human beings need love, even millionaires. Keeping your expectations low
If you have the chance to date a millionaire, there will opportunities to spend a lot of money on lavish entertainments and enjoy the kind of restaurants and travel arrangements some people can only dream about, but keep your feet firmly planted on the ground against the day when Mr (or Mrs) Millionaire is no longer around. This may sound like you are preparing for the worst, but that’s because you ARE. Mr. Millionaire can leave you just a easily as anyone else, so don’t et so attached to the rich lifestyle that you forget to come back to earth.
DON’T become a gold-digger
Millionaires are usually understandably cautious about who they socialize with and have a radar for detecting people who wish to spend time with them only because they are rich. Money is relative to what it buys and famously, it cannot buy love. It can however, buy some pretty acceptable substitutes and it seems silly to not enjoy the trappings of luxury while you can, but keep things in perspective. Don’t turn into a greedy gold digger because rest assured that the millionaire has dated hi fair share of those, and he won’t mind tossing you into the pile of greedy ex’s he’s accumulated.
Keeping yourself busy
A millionaire lifestyle, contrary to popular belief, is usually a busy one. Spectacularly successful people do not spend all day lolling by a swimming pool being waited upon hand and foot by a uniformed footman (okay, some of them do but we are dealing with ordinary millionaires here, not the kind who do nothing…) Working millionaires start their day early and end the day late and fitting into their schedule can be a challenge, especially if you are unaccustomed to this lifestyle. You’ll have to learn to be without the millionaire for a good portion of the day, sp try to find a good hobby to keep yourself entertained while he is off doing his job.
Understanding the millionaire’s life
Take the trouble of finding out what your millionaire’s life is really like and try to think of ways you can make that life more enjoyable. Let’s face it, you probably cannot buy him anything he needs but perhaps you can cook for him or handle some calls for him or make some bookings for him for tickets or reservations. Don’t leave everything to him and assume that because he is loaded he should always call the shots. Take some responsibility for choosing a restaurant or deciding whether to stay home for the evening.
How to dress with a millionaire
Dress down rather than up. Many millionaires have a problem with garish dressing and prefer an understated look. Take the time to study his (or her) décor and try to figure out what he likes and whether you like it too before trying to emulate the look. No sense in trying to change into someone else if he liked you the way you were! Try not to be over impressed by the trappings of wealth. It is well documented that some of the richest people in the World are also among the unhappiest human beings on the planet. Remember to keep your feet in the real World.
