How To Date a Vegetarian

Sex Tip

The number of people who are choosing to adopt a vegetarian diet is on the rise, so it’s likely that sooner or later you’re going to be attracted to someone who follows that lifestyle even if you don’t.  But dating a vegetarian is something to which you can easily adapt if you’re sincerely interested in your potential paramour.
Don’t ask why they don’t eat meat
Often times you’ll find out that the person with whom you’re sharing your evening is a vegetarian before you even go on a date, since vegetarians tend to be upfront about this dietary and lifestyle choice so you can plan accordingly.  However, once you learn that your date is a vegetarian it’s considerate not to ask why the person has made that choice unless he or she volunteers that information.  While many vegetarians are comfortable explaining why they became such, many view choosing vegetarianism as a personal decision that can be rooted in health, ethical, and other reasons that are often taboo topics for a first date exchange.  Let your date share that information on his or her own terms, or wait to ask about such personal matters after you’re better acquainted
Where to go on a first date
If it’s possible, plan a first date that doesn’t involve a full meal.  Meeting for coffee or something similar is a sound option since neither you nor your date has to worry about offending the other’s dietary sensibilities.  Cooking for the person in whom you’re interested and planning a menu that is either exclusively or primarily vegetarian is another fantastic way to show that you respect that person’s choice – and you’ll probably earn bonus points for taking into account his or her dietary convictions.
When you have to eat out
That said, it’s inevitable that the two of you will share a meal at a public establishment sooner or later.  When that time comes, choose a restaurant that offers viable menu options for your date.  Consider the fact that while many restaurants now offer vegetarian selections due to the popularity of the diet and lifestyle choice, ethnic restaurants almost always have more vegetarian options since non-Western diets tend to be less reliant on meat.If you just can’t face a meal without meat, remember that vegetarians don’t necessarily have a beef with carnivores; rather, they might have made their decision for health or ethical reasons.  That said, you should be considerate of your date’s choices.  Many vegetarians don’t mind if you eat meat and might even encourage you to choose whatever menu item you normally would, but ordering a slab of rare prime rib dripping with blood is rude and in bad form.
Try new foods
When you’re dating a vegetarian it’s also to your benefit if you have an adventurous palate and are open to new culinary capers.  Veggies are, in fact, good for you, and they provide valuable vitamins and necessary nutrients.  Further, there are plenty of palatable products on the market which target vegetarians that are tasty and have both a texture and flavor similar to meat.Dating a vegetarian doesn’t have to be a bore, although it’s certain that your vegetarian companion won’t be eating boar – or any pork product, for that matter.
