How To Dry Hump and When Dry Humping is Appropriate

Dry humping is essentially sexual activity that does not include vaginal, oral, or anal penetration, so it is thus called “outercourse” rather than “intercourse.”  This sexual stimulation is also sometimes referred to as “dry sex” or “frottage,” and it is sometimes referred to be the slang term “scrumping.”
Why would you dry hump?

Risks involved in dry humping
If you have decided to dry hump because you’re concerned about pregnancy or disease and don’t have any contraceptives on hand, keep in mind that dry humping is representative of a safer sex choice, but there are still risks involved.  For instance, it is possible (although highly unlikely) for semen to transfer through underwear and potentially into the vaginal canal, which can result in pregnancy.  You will also have a much higher chance of exchanging bodily fluids to some degree if you do not remain fully clothed, which can lead to your contracting a sexually transmitted disease like syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, or even HIV.
Talk to your partner about dry humping
Whether or not dry humping is appropriate depends first on the agreement between you and your partner.  It is also important to find an appropriate place to engage in this safer sex stimulation, since doing so in public will generally offend and embarrass other people even if  you are fully clothed during the experience.
