Although this may seem like a simple task, you'd be surprised to know how many guys struggle with finding a woman. Whether it's a lack of confidence or just a lack of knowledge about how to handle a woman, it never hurts to take a few hints to help you along the way.
Don't Have Unrealistic Standards
Everyone has standards but if you set the bar so high that you refuse to date anyone that doesn't have all of the qualities that you're looking for, you're going to live a very lonely life. Everyone has certain traits that they look for in a girlfriend that they may not be willing to negotiate but it's important to remember that nobody is perfect. Physical attraction is important but you should not critique every part of a woman's body. Try to find the attractive parts about her, rather than convincing yourself that she's too fat, too tall, her nose is too big, her hair is too short, etc. The fact that you find something wrong with any girl in your league shows that you're trying to avoid the dating scene, perhaps due to the fear of rejection. Take a look at your standards and if they seem a bit unrealistic, make a little tweak or two.
Look In the Right Places
You're not going to find a girl by sitting at home by yourself. Venture out to the bars (if you're of age), dance clubs, cafes, or hot spots. Hanging out at the gym is also a good place to catch a woman's attention – women love a man that takes care of himself. If you find that it's difficult to pick up the ladies in person, try a dating website! People of all ages use dating websites because there is less risk of rejection, especially since you know everyone on the site is looking for a date. You can also ask a friend to try to set you up on a blind date since your friends usually know the type of girl that you're looking for.
The Approach
Before you can get a girlfriend you must be able to approach a woman. Once you spot the woman that you want to talk to, it's really easy to psyche yourself out. There is a method referred to as the 3-Seconds Rule, which basically says that you must approach the girl within 3-seconds of her noticing you checking her out. The point of this method is to prevent your internal voice from talking you out of the initial approach. If you hesitate and make yourself nervous then you're going to appear less confident to your woman. It does not matter if you have something to talk about, a simple hello will do as an initial introduction. The fact that you acted as soon as she noticed you will impress her and that will give you brownie points right from the start.
Woo Her
Before she is going to agree to officially be your girlfriend, you must woo her. Take her to a restaurant where you can stare into her eyes under the stars, or on a date where you can play around in the snow. Sneak into the beach late at night or take a romantic stroll around the town. Do something romantic for her that nobody has ever done before. You don't have to get a sky-writer but you can post a sign on her garage, or on the top of a car-port. Write her a short message on the petal of a rose, or write your names in the sand. You have to do something that is going to catch her eye and allow her to remember that simple gesture for the rest of her life.
