For people out there in need of a sex drive, you’re probably thinking “What, who would want to do that?” Well, when it comes to the point that sex is taking over every facet of your life or lack of sex is making you incredibly irritable, it may be time to slow your drive down a bit. This is no easy task as the temptation for sex is quite a powerful thing, but it can be done. Here are a few tips to help you tone down the horniness.
No porn!
Duh. Don’t watch anything that is going to get you in the mood for sex. The Playboy mags and the Girls Gone Wild vids all need to go in the closet somewhere. If you have the balls to throw them away, you can do that too. For the most part I think that would be out of the question though, so just try to get porn out of your life. If you have a whack off room, put a padlock on it and never enter there. Get the magazines out of your bathroom, from under your bed, from in your nightstand – make them all go away for a little bit. Put parental controls on your own TV if you have to. Just remove yourself from sex as much as possible.
Avoid masturbation
This is something that will have to be done over time. Just start by gradually scaling back. If you jerk it twice daily, try once a day. If you do so once a day, try every other day. The less you make sex a routine, the better it will feel for you. This may make you think about it more to a certain extent, but at least it won’t be habitual. It’s really hard to break habits like that. Thus you need to wean yourself away from sex so you aren’t as dependent on it. You’ll have better orgasms and less desire. Win/win.
Eat non-aphrodisiacs
A lot of people think that food has nothing to do with your sex drive, but it does. If you eat a lot of chocolate, oysters, or other arousing foods, you will have a more sexual state of mind. You might try dining on spicy foods that will give you a bit of indigestion. That may sound gross, but if you’re thinking about the gas in your belly, you aren’t thinking about having sex. It’s as simple as that. Thus avoid the foods that naturally make you horny and go for ones that make you a little less pleasant to be around.
Stay home a lot
Removing yourself from interaction with the opposite sex should help eliminate some thoughts. It’s hard not to see a hot girl pass by and start thinking about all the many things you would want to do to her. If you never see the girl, you never have the thoughts. This may turn you into a hermit, but at least you won’t be a horny toad!
