Flirting is one of the most exciting parts of living a single life. Freedom to just test the waters, checking out each and every person that catches your eye i.e. in a bar, in a company party or even just around the mall. It’s exciting because you can do it every time you wish, and every one that you like to flirt on without any worries and the best of all – without commitment. But how do you go beyond that stage to something more serious? Here are some tips to get you past the flirting stage:
Seeing if you can go past flirting
Going beyond the flirting stage involves being sincere and taking the big risk. Always keep in mind that not everyone wants to go beyond it. Let’s say you’re flirting with someone, and you have plans on going beyond that. Keep in mind that there’s no specific time frame in going beyond flirting but you have to be extra sensitive if there are chances that it will be more than that. You wouldn’t want to waste much of your precious time if in the end it’ll just end up in wasted efforts. Try to gauge the person that you’re flirting with to see if they’ll be willing to move on. If they’re just flirting to have fun, then don’t waste your time.
Men going past flirting
For the guys – if you want the flirting to go step up to higher levels (not the “sleeping with her” level), you can start by showing respect. Yes, you can flirt with her, but you have to let her know that you maintain a good level of respect – no physical advances and not taking advantage of her trust. You can still throw jokes at her, but show a discreet concern about her. Flirt, flirt and flirt – but inject questions in between like how is she doing, you miss her a bit, or give her lines like “I’m always looking forward to see you nowadays”. This will make her wonder and think – why is he telling me those things? Is he giving me subtle hints? Soon she’ll be putting the moves on you, and you won’t have to do a darn thing!
Women going past flirting
The only difference with women is that you have to be the ones who give the majority of the hints, and your success depends on the guy on how he will spot it. If you want to go beyond with him, show hints that you are interested and ask things about him. Always remember that the cycle of flirting repeats every time, so as mentioned earlier – be on the lookout of signs that it’s not going anywhere or the guy/girl is just playing with you. It’s better to end it soon that regret things in the end. Just remember that as a woman, you have a lot more control over the relationship than you think. Use that to make him fall straight into bed with you.
What if the flirting never goes any further?
If you’ve tried dropping hints, to the point that you are throwing yourself at someone, and they still don’t want to move past flirtation, then just move on! There are a ton of people out there, and many of them are looking for something more than flirtation too. It may take some trial and error, but eventually you’ll find someone to move on with.
