How To Go on a Double Date

Sex Tip

If you are in a serious relationship with someone, it is important to not isolate yourselves from the outside world. Far too often do people end up distancing themselves from or neglecting to make time for their close friends after they start seeing someone. Skipping one outing with friends leads to them eventually giving up on you and not calling anymore because they don’t expect you to say yes to their invitation. Here is how to double date with a friend and his or her significant other in order to avoid losing touch with your friends.
Checking if your partner wants to double date
First make sure that your partner would actually be interested in going on a double date. Never schedule a group date with another couple while you are with a friend before checking in. One, he or she may not really care for your friend or his or her partner. Two, they may already have plans for the day that you scheduled. Three, double dates may not be their thing. These reasons aren’t to say that you can’t try to persuade him or her and talk reasonably about it… it’s just to say that you shouldn’t schedule without discussion.
What to do on the double date
Find an activity that everyone will enjoy taking part in. It is no fun to go on a double date that you aren’t interested in while everyone else is having a good time. Also, wherever you go should be a place that will give everyone the chance to interact. Though a movie type date is a safe bet, try to steer clear because it isn’t the best location for a double date. That is the kind of thing that you do on a date with just your partner. Double dates are meant for having a good time with each other, laughing, socializing and getting you know the other couple! Going to a movie makes that impossible because clearly, talking during a movie is not allowed. Trying heading over to an amusement park or a bowling alley – somewhere that you can laugh, interact and have a good time.
Finding time for a meal on the date
Make a point to incorporate dinner into your date. This will give you the chance to relax and talk to each other about anything! Also, try choosing a number of small dishes that everyone is interested in and pass the plates around! Find a place that is good but inexpensive so there are no awkward “who covers this expensive check?” moments. Or, think about staying at home for your date. A lot of times it can be really fun to just stay in, eat dinner and play games! This may even give you an even better chance of getting to know each other because it is a more comfortable setting and is a place you are familiar with. No menus, no waiters, just the four (+) of you!
What the double date will do for you
Going on a double date can add a little spice to both your relationship with your partner and to your relationship with your friends. The additional company can do a number of things. For one, if you are with someone that you have only been with for a short period of time, going out with a couple extra people can make the atmosphere more at ease and fun. It can also open new doors to different activities, your interaction with your significant other and will prevent you from losing touch with close friends. If you haven’t done it before, try going on a double date! It will definitely be worth it! Enjoy.
