Many people have one night stands and many, if not most, of these one night stands are soon regretted and then forgotten. This is mainly because they are the result of a debauched night of alcohol and/or drug abuse. How many of us have woken up with a headache, a dry mouth and a complete stranger next to us? Looking around you might find yourself in a place you’ve never seen before and hopefully never will again. You go home and think to yourself what was the point of all that. And you hope for dear life you didn’t give out your actual number or even your second name.
Finding the right person to sleep with
You are obviously not looking for a marriage proposal so it is important that both parties involved are well aware that this is a once-off thing. And let’s face it: most people on the lookout for a one night stand know that they have a certain something that allows them to prowl around and pick a potential mate and not get rejected. This certain something is good looks. Vanity plays an important role here and it’s perfectly alright to seek out someone gorgeous. The more attractive the person, the less likely it is to lean towards an exchange of numbers. You can even play the field a little out of your league because the more attractive the person is compared to you, the less he/she would want to pursue a second date. Just to make real sure about this you should consult one of his/her friends about whether or not this person is an emotional wreck who will want to move in together.
Keeping the person interested
Now that you’ve hooked up with this perfect stranger keep the conversation light. No mention of dreams and goals or saving souls. You are probably at a bar or club so drinks are abundant. Try not to get too wasted as this might impair your judgment and you might want to leave with his friend who is an emotional wreck and who wants to move in together. If drugs are involved steer clear from any hallucinogens, laughing at the person’s genitals is a turnoff in any situation.
Finding the right place to have a one night stand
So you’re drunk and horny just the right amount and both of you want to seal the deal. The location is more important than you’d realize. Imagine he/she forgot to mention kids or parents or even a spouse that could intrude on the merriment, the venture would obviously be a disaster. The best place would then be a hotel room or if you’re in the mood for scary – a motel room. This is, of course, not necessary if one of you or both have an apartment that is intruder free.
Having the one night stand
This is the easy part and depending on the amounts of varied poisons you abused during the night, it usually turns out to be a all night encounter. Savor the experience and never feel guilty. You are both consenting adults enjoying each other’s bodies like your natural instincts suggest to.
The morning after
You wake up and feel great. You look and next to you is a reasonably attractive human being you just had amazing sex with. You don’t remember his/her name and that’s a good thing. The best of all is you don’t feel guilty so go ahead: leave without waking the person, it’s alright. If it’s your place feel free to go about your business and maybe even leave a little note saying thanks and lock the door behind you when you leave.
