How To Have An Orgasm

Sex Tip

Although there are many pleasurable aspects of sex, there is no denying that orgasm ranks pretty highly on the list of best things about intercourse.  It’s unfortunate, then, that so many men and women have trouble reaching orgasm.  There are, however, steps you can take that might resolve the issue if you have this probably either regularly or occasionally.
Understand your body
The most important thing for both and women when trying to reach orgasm is to have a thorough understanding of your body – both how it works and what feels good.  This may seem obvious, but the truth is that women in particular are often either not comfortable with masturbation or otherwise do not know much about the specifics or their own anatomy.  This, of course, can limit their ability to reach orgasm, which isn’t necessarily as intuitive as it is for men. In fact, studies show that as many as 10 percent of women have never experienced an orgasm at all.For instance, although many women generally equate sex with penetration, often vaginal penetration alone is not enough for a woman to orgasm.  Clitoral stimulation in particular is very important for most women.  This can be achieved in a variety of ways.  Many women find that manual stimulation of the clitoris dramatically increases their chances of orgasm.  Similarly, using a toy like a vibrator to stimulate the clitoris can also be very effective.  These techniques can be applied to both solo and partner masturbation or heavy petting, as well as functioning as a supplement to vaginal penetration.
Pick the right position
Additionally, for partner sex certain positions are more conducive to a woman reaching orgasm, especially those that increase contact with the clitoris such as the woman being on top.  When the woman has more control over the angle and depth of penetration, the likelihood of pleasurable stimulation of the clitoris also increases. This also has the added benefit of the man’s penis reaching the woman’s G spot, which is another way in which a woman can increase orgasm.  Also, it’s always important to remember that the clitoris is an incredibly sensitive nerve bundle, so plentiful lubrication and, usually, a light rather than rough degree of clitoral stimulation are usually prudent.
Use your foreplay wisely
More general techniques for helping a woman reach orgasm include extended foreplay.  Women generally need more time to get sufficiently aroused than men, so taking it slowly can often be beneficial and increase the likelihood of a woman reaching orgasm.  There are also prescription and over the counter creams that can increase blood flow to the female genitalia, which is critical to orgasm.
Some thoughts just for the guys…
Like women, men might have trouble reaching orgasm for a variety of reasons.  These reasons are commonly related to stress and/or medications.  If, however, neither of these are issues, then the inability to climax might be a medical issue.  If this is the case, then it’s suggested that the man see either his regular doctor or a urologist who specializes in male sexual dysfunction to address the issue.
