Sometimes it is very difficult to admit to yourself that you're a slut. You might mess around with a lot of people and get shunned by classmates but that doesn't mean anything, right? If you're starting to wonder whether or not you're a slut, examine the list below.
You Have a Reputation
Once in a while a slutty reputation stems from a nasty rumor that is spread around by some jealous girl or jerky guy, but most of the time the reputation for being a slut arises because of you. Wearing clothes that are revealing doesn't necessarily mean that you're easy, but it will give people that impression. Messing around with a bunch of guys (even if you don't sleep with them) will give you that reputation because word gets around. Getting drunk at parties to the point where you don't even know what you're doing can also contribute to that reputation. Before you blame your reputation on a false rumor, make sure that the shoe doesn't fit.
Guys Don't Want To Be Seen With You
You probably have a lot of guys that try to get with you but none of them want to actually be seen with you in public. Your crush might flirt with you under his breath in class (or at work) but he acts like he doesn't even know you when his friends are around. He would gladly have sex with you but he definitely wouldn't brag about it to his friends, and he most likely makes fun of you when he is around them. You're probably not taken out on dates too often because then other people might think that the man you're with actually likes you (and he can't have that).
Guys Constantly Try To Hook Up With You
You might be flattered because guys are constantly trying to get with you but it probably isn't just because you're hot – it's because they think you're easy. Plenty of girls get hit on (asked out on dates) but most of the guys that hit on you don't want to take you out, they want to get straight to business. This is a sign that men don't respect you because they think you're a slut. Don't be flattered when a guy acts inappropriately toward you because it isn't a compliment, it is because they think they have a good chance of scoring.
You Feel Dirty
Never blow off your gut instincts, if you yourself feels like you're dirty then you most likely are. There are some unjustified self esteem issues that girls have (i.e. you think you're fat, you're ugly, etc.), but girls don't just convince themselves that they're sluts. You don't see teens looking in the mirror at themselves saying, "Ugh, I'm such a slut!" Girls don't think that about themselves unless it is for good reason. You probably feel dirty because you're hooking up with guys just because you think it will make them like you, and when they leave you realize that it's quite the opposite. If you respect yourself, you will have no reason to feel dirty.
You Can't Count The Number Of Hookups
If you cannot even remember how many hookups you have had, or remember the names of people you've hooked up with, that's usually a sure sign. It is also not normal to have had multiple pregnancy scares, or probably an STD (unless you were careful and still got one, then that doesn't apply). If you're careful about the people that you hook up with and you're not just sleeping around, you won't have these problems.
