How to Make Out With Braces

Article

Everyone knows one thing that sucks about being a teenager is having to get braces. Most kids end up with them on their face at one point in time, and no one ever likes them. Braces are the devil. Making out with braces can be a pretty big challenge because of how easily things can get trapped and entangled. Here are a few tips that will help keep the kisses going without tears of intertwined agony.
Make sure the teeth are clean
I cannot stress this enough, So much of the stuff you eat and walk through during the day gets caught in your braces. Although you may not realize it, your metal mouth is like a giant garbage disposal. If you don’t take care of your teeth right, your date may taste the unpleasant leftovers of yesterday’s lunch or this morning’s jalapeno sausage roll. Don’t let that happen. Before you’re going to make out, spend a long time brushing and FLOSSING your teeth. Be sure to get underneath the braces and really work out the gunk. Buy some Oral B Superfloss. That has a hard end, a fuzzy middle and a regular floss back. It’s great for getting out stuck in foods. Rinse your mouth too so everything is fresh and clean.
Don’t eat
After you get done with the cleansing, keep your consumption to water and water only. Don’t eat a sandwich or chips or anything that is going to get trapped in your mouth. You don’t want all of your hard work to go to waste because you couldn’t resist the buttered popcorn at the theater.
Kiss with a closed mouth first
When you start making out, do what you can without the teeth being exposed. Obviously when the tongue emerges the teeth will too, but try to avoid that as you can. Let the kisses take their courses, and try new things with your hands until you have to open your mouth. That will at least create a different kind of sensation.
Open mouth kisses
When you finally get to the point that the tongue has to come out, try your best to keep the braces away from another person’s gums. That may scratch them. If you are working with someone who also has braces, you’re going to need to be even more careful in case you get entangled. If that situation does occur, it will probably be best to seek the help of a person near you so that you know which way to move. If you can feel around, then pin point the spot that is wound up and get it undone. After that, leave some time for both of you to heal.
Final thoughts on making out with braces
Don’t ever try to make out on the day that you get your braces tightened. Things are going to be rally sore then, and you’ll just end up in agony. As much as it may pain you to do so, wait a little bit of time before the kisses resume.
