Whether you are on a date or at home with your regular partner, you can be prepared for sex. Sometimes that means prevention and other times it means getting ready for fun. Either way, it never hurts to have a game plan. Here are some tips to help you prepare for sex:
Stay clean for sex
For both men and women, one of the most important things is cleanliness. It never hurts to shower, and these days most if not all people do some personal grooming, whether shaving or trimming to their private regions. Keep it clean so that your stinch doesn’t ruin the heat of the moment.
The classic form of preparation: condoms
So you will hopefully not have any diseases, but they are more prevalent than ever and in a variety of forms. There are some that have almost no symptoms at all, and some that have very serious consequences. For this reason, unless you are in a monogamous relationship and both have tested clean, you really need to carry condoms. Perhaps more than one, and definitely in a place that they won’t be ruined by heat or tears. If you have not had sex, be sure and check the expiration date. They aren’t bottled water, so don’t use them after they expire!
Analyze if you’re ready for sex
Do you feel you are emotionally ready to have sex with your partner? Do you know where the relationship is going, or do you care? These are the flip sides of the same question. Some people, both male and female, are in it for love, and others are in it for the sex. It is fine either way, so long as you are both on the same page. Problems crop up when there are two pages to the relationship. Hopefully, if you are going to consider having sex with this person, you can kind of address the issue. Sometimes using a little humor makes it easier. You won’t always have to address it as you will already know in some cases. Just make certain that the next morning, you will feel alright with yourself regardless.
The fun part of preparation
Now that you have addressed the health issues, you can start planning for the FUN! Sexual innuendos thrown in during the evening will often give you a chance to determine where things are heading. And also in a titillating way allow you to impart some of what you might like in bed with your partner.
Make use of a few good props
If you are not comfortable with how you look naked, you can use some props, whether a sexy negligee if you are at your house or away for a weekend, to a carefully draped towel or sheet from the bed if you like. Avoid the toys…
It might not be a good idea to pack sexual toys in your purse for your first encounter. Some men are intimidated by them, and it might be an easier subject to broach a little later in the relationship, or mention it now, and see how he reacts.
