How To Propose To Your Girlfriend

Sex Tip

If you’re reading this, let’s assume that you’ve already decided that she is the one.  If not, then you can stop reading because proposing to someone is hard enoug--proposing to someone that you’re not sure you want to spend of the rest of your life with is even harder. Even in our times of the Internet and the BlackBerry, a proper marriage proposal is not yet dead.  If you’re going to propose, you want  it to be a  moment that she’ll always remember, so here are some ways to plan for the occasion.
Getting the engagement ring
An engagement ring is typically a symbol of your undying love, and it shows that you have the money to give her a comfortable married life.  A rule of thumb is that 2-4 months of your salary should be spent on the engagement ring.  This is not an exact science so feel free to be creative, but an engagement ring is going to be worn by your future fiancée for the rest of her life. You should be sure that she’s going to like it.  If you’re not sure what she likes, you can ask her to help you help a friend pick out a ring for her girlfriend.  Just tell her you need a girl’s point of view. She may start off suspicious, but if the friend is convincing enough, she’ll soon forget about it.
Planning the proposal date and place
It’s best to propose in a place and on a date that has a historical significance to your relationship.  It can be the place where you met and on the date when you became a couple, or perhaps at the time and place where you first said that you loved each other.  This will be based on your personal preference, while of course keeping your girlfriend’s preference in mind.  You can also try someplace outside of your history, but till special. It can be in a romantic restaurant or at a special getaway.  Take into consideration if you want it public or just between the two of you because some girls would prefer that it’s a private affair while some want the whole world to see.  You should know what your girlfriend prefers and respond  to that.
Plan on how you’re going to propose
The best thing to keep in mind for the actual proposal is to try not to be cliché.  Your proposal should be original, significant and special only to you and her.  Original ideas, no matter how small, are usually more appreciated because it shows thoughtfulness.  Here are some ideas that you can use:1. Put the ring inside a balloon.  Fill a room with balloons with each balloon having a piece of paper telling her how much you love her.  Have her pop the balloon and save the balloon with the ring for last.  Have her pop the last balloon and get down on your knee as you pick it up.2. Buy a stuffed toy similar to the one she had when she was a kid.  Have the stuffed toy hold the ring and watch her freak out – twice.3. Fill a room with rose petals.  Make sure you stick several petals to the floor using adhesives and have it spell out “Marry Me”.  Have her turn on the fan and watch the words come to life. You can come up with your own versions of these or use a proposal method that’s all your own. Just be sure that it’s special to her.
The actual proposal
Now that you’ve planned how to propose, it’s only a matter of execution.  Make sure that you have everything in place, and try going through this mental check list: 1. Make sure that both of you are free on the date.2. Make the necessary reservations.3. Contact your accomplices if any and make sure they know their job.4. Practice your line!  Mumbling while proposing is anti-climactic.5. If you want to document the affair, make sure that everything is ready.6. Double check that you have the ring. The execution should be seamless if you planned correctly.  Make sure that you have everything in place, and get ready to wow her. If you do it well enough, you should make her cry and laugh and everything in between. Just use your best judgment and do whatever it takes to get her to say yes. After that, you’ll have many long years of happiness together, but only if you plan well enough for the proposal.
