It's very easy to go into denial when you begin to suspect that your boyfriend is over you. You will make up every excuse in the book as to why he is acting this way but deep down in your heart you know the truth. If you're having trouble admitting that your boyfriend is over you or you're not quite sure, take a look at these sure signs.
He Picks Stupid Fights
Although men are supposed to be the stronger sex, this is not always the case. If he is over you and he is ready to break up, he might try to push you away by fighting so that he does not have to do the dirty work of dumping you. He might fight with you about issues that don't exist or he might just snap at you for stupid reasons. In any case, you will be able to tell if it seems like he wants to make you mad more than he wants to make you happy.
He Doesn't Acknowledge Your Feelings
Once he is over you he is no longer going to be sensitive about how you feel. He might not be blatantly mean to you but he is not going to care if he makes you sad. If you're upset and you want to have a discussion with him, he will probably refuse to take the time out of his day to talk to you. Also, he might make comments that are completely insensitive; for example, he will tell you that your hair smells or that you need to lose a couple of pounds. There is a difference between him giving you constructive criticism and just being careless, and you will be able to tell that difference.
He Becomes Uninterested In You
You could be telling him something about your day, asking him about plans, or just having a conversation with him, but he is just not listening. He might pay attention to the television instead of you or he will text message someone from his phone – basically, he will do anything he can to prevent paying attention to you. When you speak to him he might roll his eyes or just act like he is completely absent mentally.
He Becomes Secretive
If you have been close with this man for your entire relationship and then all of a sudden he starts to keep secrets from you, something is not right. He might begin to make mysterious phone calls, hide text messages, or send secret e-mails. He won't tell you where he is or who he is with. You will notice a definite difference in all of his mechanisms, and you will soon find that you have no idea who he is anymore.
He Makes Comments About Other Girls
Even if he is happy with you he will probably discreetly check out other girls, but once he is over you he will no longer be discreet. He will check girls out as they walk by and he will stare at them instead of paying attention to you. Likewise, he won't be afraid to be like, "Damn, she's fine!" If the two of you are watching TV he might talk about how perfect a woman is on there, or how he has never seen anyone with such a nice body. Just to piss you off, he might even comment on your friends or his ex girlfriends.
He Blows You Off
He will constantly make excuses as to why he is too busy to make plans with you, or he will blow you off when you do have plans. He will come up with excuses not to make plans with you but he will always be open to spend time with his friends. He won't even call you when he says he will. You will end up calling him and he will say that he forgot, or he will just shrug it off. There was a time when he wanted to be with you every day and now he does not want to see you at all – he is probably over you!
