No matter how smooth your man is, if he is a player then there are probably other girls that are aware of this. Casually mention him around people you went to school with, or other groups of friends that might know him. If you know any of his ex girlfriends then you could probably find out his rep from them. If you know that his past relationships ended because he was unfaithful then chances are he is a player – you won't be able to change that! Plus, you can also use the Internet to fish for some information. If he has a Facebook or a MySpace page you can see if he is flirting with other girls on there, if he refuses to put that he is in a relationship, or if he has random girls thanking him "for the other night."
Actions Speak Louder Than Words
A player will sweet-talk you until you're blue in the ears but it is his actions that you need to pay attention to. If he is constantly hanging out with mysterious women or his exes, chances are that something is going on. If you see him hitting on other women or trying to get other numbers, these are all red flags. If he lies about his whereabouts or he just refuses to tell you where he is, then chances are he is sneaking around to places he doesn't want you to know about. If he gets phone calls that he ignores real fast and tells you that it's "no one," don't be naïve. If he refuses to introduce to you to his friends and you know nothing about his family – take a few minutes to examine the situation. Do you really know anything about him at all? If he is a secret agent then he is probably sneaking around on you.

A player will most definitely try harder to get in your pants than a non-player will. He will try to tell you that he does not want to pressure you but you both know that he will think you're a prude if you don't sleep with him. You don't want him to seek sex elsewhere so his subtle signals are enough for you. If he is more eager to get in your pants than he is to really get to know you as a person, then he is probably a player. Every man wants to have sex but if he is really in it for your heart then he will wait until you're truly ready.
