is my girlfriend a virgin?

Question

my girlfriend and I want to have sex and we are both virgins, or so she says. Before we met, she was at a house party and ended up with a guy and one thing led to another. They ended up naked together and he started pushing himself in her. She felt him going in and it was painful so she asked him to stop, which he did. She figures he only got it about halfway in, if even that, but we both wonder if she can still call herself a true virgin? She didn't want to lose it to a stranger, but I think she did.

Before we get technical here, does it really matter either way? If she did "lose her virginity", what are you going to do? Dump her? Yell at her? Still fuck her? What's your motive?

The fact is that you already know what she did. You just want a way to label it so you can either get mad or feel relief. The label isn't going t change things. She was naked with another guy who went inside of her. She made a significant sexual move with another man. Get over it - seriously. It's in the past. I'm assuming you love her, and I don't think this sort of technicality should change that. You'd be stupid to let it.

With that in mind, if her hymen didn't break (cherry pop), then she is technically a virgin. In other words, if you go in and have to break through her blocking layer inside her vagina, she was a virgin. Only you can figure that out. Just don't get caught up in the labels. It shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Depends on what the definition of the word "Is" is.
You two can decide together and make the definition of the word "virgin" whatever you want it to be, everyone else does. If I have buttsex, am I a virgin? If I suck a dick, am I still a virgin? If he put his cock in me half way, am I still a virgin? If it's good enough for Bill Clinton, it's good enough for me.

"Morally, virginity signifies the reverence for bodily integrity which is suggested by a virtuous motive. Thus understood, it is common to both sexes, and may exist in a women even after bodily violation committed upon her against her will. Physically, it implies a bodily integrity, visible evidence of which exists only in women." What the hell does that mean? See, even "THE" church can't decide. So if I'm a guy with a virtuous motive and reverence and I stick a dick in her, I can be a virgin? Or lick her clit, there is no violation of bodily integrity? If I'm a woman and my hymen pops, I'm not. But if I'm popped against my will I can still be a virgin with a popped hymen? What if it breaks during other physical activity? What if it breaks during a doctor's visit? If I break it with a dildo, I'm not? BUT I can have vaginal intercourse and be a virgin if I don't break my hymen? It's like having your virginity and being eaten too.

What are you going to stone her if she's not?

OOPS!

Deuteronomy 22:13-21
If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her ... and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid: Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: And the damsel's father shall say ... these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. ... But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die.
Deuteronomy 22:23-24
If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city.

Shit! I guess it really is important!
