Sometimes men are not reluctant to get into a relationship because women have the reputation to be overly emotional and looking to get married immediately. While some women follow these generalizations, most do not! Before you swear off women forever, allow some of these myths to be busted.

Myth #1: Women Are Too Emotional

It isn't that women are more emotional than men (at least not THAT much more), it is just that women express their emotions more openly than men do. Women talk about their feelings and since men have a harder time talking about feelings, they automatically assume that women are just irrationally emotional. Women are in touch with their emotions but not everything that they do or think is emotionally driven.

Myth #2: Women Always Want To "Make Love"

This myth is quite the contrary. It's true that sometimes women want to make sweet love but women also crave those steamy sack sessions. It does not always have to be about romance and depth, sometimes women just want to have a good time too. Save the romance for special nights but don't hesitate to bring some fun and spontaneity on a regular basis. People have this false idea that women do not like or need sex as much as men do, that they only crave the emotional connection – but healthy women have just as much of a desire for the physical pleasures of sex as men do.

Myth #3: Women Are Dying To Settle Down & Get Married

Does a woman think about her wedding day from the time that she is a little girl? Yes. However, that does not mean that she is looking to tie the knot as soon as she gets into a new relationship. A woman needs to dip her feet in and check the water too before she just jumps in. Women are nurturers and they want to get married and have children, but they want to do this with the right person. A woman is not looking to just jump into a forever relationship with the first guy she has feelings for. Women have reservations and even a fear of commitment, just like men.

Myth #4: Women Want Jerks

Women are often attracted to the bad boys but they do NOT want to be treated like dirt. If a woman wants to be abused then there are deeper underlying issues that need to be resolved, but the majority of women do not want a jerk. A woman wants a man that will treat her right and make her feel good about herself. At the beginning, a bad boy is exciting; however, women get sick of jerks really fast. Being treated like crap is not in a turn on by any means and it ultimately causes a woman to distance herself from her man. Women don't like pushovers that pose no challenge because it bores them, but women don't like men that treat them like garbage either.

Myth #5: Women Expect Pricey Dates & Gifts

Although it is nice to get an expensive gift sometimes, women prefer thoughtful ones instead. Women like to know that you're thinking of them and that you put deep thought into a gift. The same thing goes for an expensive date. If you know that she loves a certain type of ice cream and you take her to the best place for that ice cream then she will know that you listen to her. She will most definitely appreciate a nice steak dinner but it's not as special as a personal date. Sometimes expensive dates even makes a woman feel uncomfortable because she doesn't know if you're expecting something in return. Basically, take her somewhere that you can give her your full attention and make her feel like she's the only woman in the world.
