You thought it was extremely sweet when your guy asked you to move into his pad, bring your stuff with you and just feel at home, however, it’s been only three weeks and you and your guy had been constantly fighting, a thing that did not happen before you moved in. What’s the problem? Who’s causing it? Maybe it’s him, or maybe it’s you. Maybe you do things that turn him off and all the while you had no idea. Here are the top 5 turnoffs for guys and the best ways to avoid them:
Turnoff #5: Being in his space
Don’t invade too much of his personal space. You may have been told to just feel right at home, but you have to remember that it’s still his house. Try to avoid occupying all the space in his closet, try to minimize the amount of clothes, shoes or bags you have. If it’s possible, it’s better to have your own closet than making your stuff squeeze into his, as long as his bedroom will not get too squashed in. You would also want to avoid throwing out all of his beer in the refrigerator just to make sure your cereals, fruits and other food don’t get spoiled. You still can occupy some space, just remember to keep it minimal and that there will still be some space left for his left over pizza.
Turnoff #4: Too much sharing
No sharing please. It may be sweet to share your homemade cookies to your guy, but sharing his toothbrush or razor is an entirely different thing! Nothing is sweet about using your guy’s toothbrush. Imagine how revolting it is to share plaque; it’s not sanitary at all. Also, don’t even think about using your guy’s razor on your legs or even worse, your armpits or pubic area. This will definitely gross your guy out and make his razor dull.
Turnoff #3: Too much cleaning
Do not be a replica of his mom. Boys by nature, are messy. It’s time tested and will always be that way, but girls by nature are clean and likes to keep their environment tidy. Before you clean up his bedroom, bathroom, kitchen or living room, make sure he has no issues if you clean those areas up. Believe it or not, if you clean up after him all the time or constantly nag him to clean his mess up, you may remind him of how his mom does the exact things you are doing right now, and honey, that can’t be good for you.
Turnoff #2: Touching the remote
Leave the remote alone. Guys get really pissed off when their girlfriends decide to watch Lifestyle Network when NBA finals are ongoing. Your guy may feel that you are trying to dominate him by a simple act of taking control of his remote and making him watch a French fashion show, and by all means try to avoid that. If your guy only has one TV, compromise. Let him watch some of his favorite shows and maybe he’ll let you watch your favorites. It’s all about give and take and you should learn how it works.
Turnoff #1: Gassy girls
Don’t gross him out. Leave it to the guys to do the farting, burping, barfing, or snoring out loud, besides, they do it best. We girls should always remain our, dainty feminine selves. I know it’s unavoidable but will surely disgust your guy if you fart loudly while you had his drinking or poker buddies in his house. If you feel the need to burp or even fart, excuse yourself and do it outside, save your guy and other people a few seconds that might ruin both his and your day.
