No clue about the odor, but yogurt is supposed to be great for yeast infections. The bacteria in the yogurt actually eats away at the yeast to help the infection go away. Ingesting it will help some, but if you actually apply some flavor free yogurt right to the infected areas, you will see the biggest benefits. The yeast also needs heat and moisture to grow, so if you wear cotton underwear or no underwear at all, your vag can get enough space to breathe and get rid of the infection naturally. There are creams out there that can help, but the problems will go away on their own if you just give your lower region plenty of air. If problems get really bad, you can always see a doctor for help.
**I've never had a yeast infection by the way, so I can't say I've tested any of this. I just remember writing an article or two about it long ago. Don't take any of what I say as professional advice. I'm just relaying what I know. :)
I have been up close to one. Smells not much different

Lol, you mean they don't shun people with yeast infections from society where you live? :-P
A yeast or thrush infection is pretty common and easily treated.
You can get some Canesten suppositories/cream (make sure it does not contain hydrocortisone) or Mycostatin cream and apply up to 2 times a day for about a week.
Also make sure you keep the area as dry as possible to keep the yeast from having a good growing environment. Apply lots (the more the better) of baby talcum powder and use cotton underwear and should clear up within a week to 10 days.
Forgot to add if you do encounter yeast infections on a regular basis, you should see your GP for a urine culture as sometimes a UTI (urinary tract infection) can give rise to yeast infections and yeast infections can sometimes cause a UTI and need a course of antibiotics to clear up.
Just monitor if you have any burning sensations when urinating, needing to urinate frequently, strong smelling and dark (like tea) urine or discharge.
