Anal beads are alright, but aren't very practical and can be messy. If your girlfriend is wanting an anal toy, there are several things you need to think about when buying one.
Is this her first attempt at anal enjoyment? Is she experienced in it?
If you don't think she's very experienced and it's something you both want to explore together, my suggestion would be to buy a nice slim metal or other non porous material dildo or vibrating dildo (think the diameter of your pinky finger). You want a water proof one that can be sanitized easily..hence the non porous material requirement!
