Alrighty. this may take a bit of reading, but here goes:
After me and whoever I'm having sex with at the time (don't worry, i play it safe ;) ) are done, I have two things that happen without fail. First, I get really hungry. this happens about maybe 5 to 10 minutes after we're done. It doesn't even matter if I've eaten my body weight in thanksgiving dinner plates beforehand, I feel absolutely famished after we're done. Its kind of worried me, making me think I have some sort of food fetish subconciously. Meh, any advice on this would be appreciative.
Second though is even weirder. After sex, I have this intense urge to urinate. Normally I do this in the shower (doesn't every guy? amirite?) but it happens every. single. time. and the weirdest thing is that it reeks like buttered popcorn you get at the movie theater (first couple of times was all I needed to put me off of popcorn from a theater, trust me). personally I think it has something to do with phearamones possibly, but buttered popcorn? c'mon! anyways. any thoughts, theories and answers to this would be greatly appreciated.

I get the urge to urinate after any emotionally intense experience, so maybe sex it is like that for you after vigorous sex. I will not ask how you know the smell of your urine, being thoroughly in the TMI category for me.

Northofnext · On another note tho, i doubt its an emotionally intense experience. i haven't had any negative experiences with sex, but that doesn't rule out the EIE at all. i think it has something to do with the prostate being near the bladder or something like that. meh, at least im getting some ideas from folks and i know im not alone either!

AMS (the Medical Mizard ) · Northofnext, an ejaculation consist of a series of strong muscular spasms to force the semen out of you and as close to its intended target as possible. These spasms are not unlike the contractions you have when you try and stop yourself from peeing mid-stream. This can sometimes trigger urinary reflux which gives you the sensation you need to go use the loo. Quite normal. Now, regarding the strong smelling urine, you haven't given enough information to narrow down the possible causes so it can be can be something as simple as you're not hydrating yourself enough with fluids, drinking or eating something that causes the odour to having a high level of ketones in your urine, an underlying bladder/UTI or pre-diabetes (unlikely with the information you have supplied). If you have very dark, cloudy urine or the odour persists even after drinking lots of water I suggest you visit your GP who can clear up all remaining doubts once and for all. Hope this helps
Northofnext · whew! well thanks AMS... for being a resident doctor, that clears up a few questions for me. but with regards to diet, im actually quite healthy so to speak. i eat my greens and avoid really fatty foods (of course, i enjoy me some fried chicken every now and then too ;) ). i don't have junk food often, but i do have it and well, thats pretty much it. i do hydrate often, hell i have at least 3 two liter water bottles in the fridge that need refilling in one way or another every single day. and my urine isn't dark or cloudy at all. its normally fairly light colored and such. I hope that helps with things :D
