A lesbian couple felt humiliated by Pinellas County DMV after they wanted to change their name on their driving licenses.
Rachel and Charlotte Lambert-Jolley, married in Connecticut, wanted to change their name on their driving licenses in Florida.
They first ask if it was possible, the DMV answered: "If they have a valid marriage license, we honor it." With all the necessary documents, they went to the DMV. According to 10News , Rachel and Charlotte say the first person they talked to told them they had everything necessary. After waiting about an hour, a second person told them they couldn't do it, because the same-sex marriage license isn't recognized in Florida.
