When you meet a Latina that you like, don’t ever use a line saying that you’ve always wanted to date a Latina.  That almost never works and you might end up with a drink splashed all over you.  Latinas demand and deserve respect, and if you plan on dating one, that’s just something you’ll have to get used to. Being with a Latina can be well worth the hassle though, so here are some tips to  help you along the way.

Picking the right Latina

Don’t treat Latinas as if they’re all alike.  Sure, almost all of them have the tempting curves and sultry looks, but they’re not all the same.  Find out which type of Latina you’re looking for, just like you would analyze any other person.  Don’t just go for the nearest available Latina because of her name sake.  Most women will see right through you. Don’t just send her a text message and call it a day. Pick a method that represents how special you think she is. You can look especially prepared if you ask her in Spanish because it will show her that you took an interest in her as a person, not just as a body.

Latinas are highly proud of their culture, and they more than willing to stand up for where they came from.  Make the effort to know the culture of Latinas because understanding their culture is the first step toward appreciating it and respecting it.  If you respect the culture, then you respect the girl--at least that’s how they see it.

The women’s lives are infused with centuries of Latin tradition, and they abide by the same beliefs as most of their ancestors.  Most Latinas are devout Catholics, and to be with one, you will eventually have to be one too. Marrying within the same religion is highly important for Latin families, so if you plan on spending your life with her, you’ll need to pick up on her religion.

How to maintain your relationship

Be a gentleman at all times when you are with her.  This means opening the door for her and walking on the more dangerous part of the sidewalk.  A Latina wants someone that can take care of her and you want to show her that you are up for the challenge.  Tell her she’s beautiful instead of hot as a form of respect.  Most Latinas, being naturally sexy, are used to catcalls and being called whistles all the time. If you really want to surprise her, learn about  her favorite Saint.  Being a Catholic, she probably has a favorite Saint that she loves above the rest.  Know the story behind the Saint and why it’s her favorite.  This gives her the impression that you’re willing to embrace the fact that she is religious.  It wouldn’t hurt to know Catholic traditions as well since you don’t want to do something that is against her beliefs. This should help you maintain a steady connection.

A Latina will treat you nicely you treat her with  the proper amount of respect. Sure, she can be feisty if you’re just after the fact that she’s a Latina, but there’s more to her than her origins.  Constantly make an effort to acknowledge her as a person and show her that she is one-of -a-kind. Remember that she is a woman, a prize, and a firecracker all rolled into one and embrace those qualities about her. You’ll be quite happy in the end.
