Pregnant and Pondering Sex Positions
Question Asked by yomamalsc about 1 year ago - [ Ask a Question ]
My fiancee and I are about to become parents. I'm about 8 months into it and my body has gotten so huge! Maybe I'm overreacting, but I just feel so insecure about how I look. It has also made me bothered me so much that I just don't want to have sex. My fiancee doesn't my mind my body so much, but at this point he know it would hurt me if he lost interest. I'm also afraid that I'll hurt him during sex, because I'm so big. I know that might not happen, but I know that it's going to be awkward, for me at least. What sex positions work best for a pregnant bride-to-be?
Answer
It is completely normal for you to feel unattractive, fat, bloated, or just too tired to have sex in the months leading up to the birth of your child. If you feel awkward having sex and are worried about crushing your husband (which you will NOT), a good alternative is oral sex. You could relax and sit back, prop yourself with some pillows, and let your husband pleasure you. If you want to try intercourse, putting yourself on top may seem awkward, but that way you can control things better; having your husband on top is almost impossible and will put too much pressure on your abdomen. Also, if you are on top, you can distribute your weight a little better by putting your hands behind you on your husband’s thighs or on the bed next to his thighs and using that to help maintain your balance. Also, reverse this so you are still on top but facing away. You could try having sex with your husband sitting on a chair and you sitting on his lap, or on a bed with him spooning you from behind.
