To Cut or Uncut
Question Asked by JB07 about 1 year ago - [ Ask a Question ]
My penis is uncircumcised. It never really been that big of an issue, but I'm curious as to the benefits of having a circumcised penis. I've been thinking about having a circumcision if it's a healthier option. I also wonder if I could get stimulated more so when it's cut. So far, sex has been good for me. But the last girl was so confused as to why my dick looked so different. I told her I had never been circumcised, and she was so reluctant to give me a blow job! It was kind of embarrassing for me. Is it too late for me to circumcise my penis?
Answer
Dear JB07,
It's never technically too late to become circumcised. However, I'd like to make sure you are aware what's fact and what's myth.
Having a foreskin isn't necessarily 'less healthy'. If you exercise proper body hygiene, you are just as healthy as anyone else.
Some women prefer cut penises to uncut. However, there is a large number of women who either don't care either way, or prefer uncut.
If you do choose to get the surgery, be aware that:
1. it will take a long time to heal
2. your foreskin provides you with an innate protection against irritants such as clothing etc. If you remove it ...you may find it rather uncomfortable to be uncovered constantly.
3. you WILL lose some sensitivity, as circumcision removes what is known as the frenulum (if you don't know what that is, do a google or dictionary . com search. It's basically the band of skin that attaches your foreskin to the underside of your penis...which holds a significant amount of nerve endings and pleasure receptors)
Good luck in your decision. I personally think you shouldn't worry what others think about your body. You're who you are, and there are tons of women out there that will accept and appreciate you for you :)

I am also uncut. I've thought about having done and almost convinced myself it would be the right decision, but then I learned that several of my closest friends weren't either and decided to talk to them about it... most of us are 2nd generation European-Americans and circumcision is not as common over there. After looking into the subject further, it seems like a rather barbaric practice, in my opinion. The reason it was promoted so heavily in the States was due to John Kellog (the cereal guy), who believed that it was an effective way to stop males from masturbating (he was against having sexual intercourse for non-procreative purposes). I sympathize with you about feeling embarrassed. A lot of people stigmatize intact penises as if it is unnatural when in fact it is quite the contrary. You will occasionally run into a girl who has a problem with it, but there are plenty of girls who don't care. Find one of them. It amazes me how many women will castigate the various styles of female circumcision in Africa and other 3rd World regions, yet they are okay with male circumcision in their own country and often have a problem with a man who hasn't had it done. Check out http://www.circumcision.org/ and inform yourself about the subject. Google some forums where men talk about having it done as adults. You will often find that they regret doing it. Others are happy with the decision. I hope this was helpful. Just remember not to underestimate Mother Nature's design.

Take it from a girl--it's fine just the way it is. Not all women in the US are familiar with the uncircumcised penis but that doesn't mean we should make you uncomfortable about it. I happen to be from the US but have lived in Europe off and on, and I must say that I prefer uncut ones. I don't dislike cut ones but ultimately an uncut penis is perfect just the way it was designed, and I find it to be a lot more fun! (Also, I believe something like 85% of the world's population is uncircumcised so the natural look is definitely 'in'!)

WELL i enjoy about 4 nice longterm relationships a yr. so being uncut is ok with me . You have to think that if every lady liked cut . or every lady liked uncut that would be a good way to go with the flow . i guess . !!! But can you imagine getting cut then your new girlfriend tells you she had a boyfriend that was not cut and she liked it . oh my . IT WOULD DRIVE YOU CRAZY. and yes i was with a few girls last yr that were like uncut no way am i going to try that lolipop . so what. there are a lot of girls that would so you go with what she will do till she drives her butt down the road.

I had to get circumcised for a medical reason, my foreskin was too tight, The initial sex aftert circumcision was great, but over time, I've noticed a huge decrease in sensitivity. Keep your foreskin, the sex is better.
