Im about thirty years old and recently married. I have wanted implants since I was in high school because I am really insecure about my small boobs. However, we also want to start a family. Will getting implants effect breast feeding in the long run? Will I be able to breast feed or will they need to just take out the implants as soon as I'm pregnant?

My girlfriend has them and she says she asked the doc and it does not affect breast feeding.

Depending on the kind of incision, you shouldn't have a problem. Usually cuts around the areola can cause nerve damage that would only allow you to feed partially or not at all. There is also no evidence that any silicone leaks can seep into breastmilk. You will most likely not find out about any damage and/or difficulties until you try to breasfeed. However, I HIGHLY recommend making these inquiries to your doctor and plastic surgeon first!
